Bakedbeats is a live multi-performance music event in Shillibeers (next-door to SAE). Your work is wanted to display alongside the performances...

The last all-dayer May 1st event was a real success, with a chilled family atmosphere in the day following through to an evening with more of a bar feel. As the event was such a success, there is to be a follow up on the Saturday 24th June, 2.00pm - 11.00pm

The live acts are wide-ranging, from electronic to instrumental, jazz, pop and there was even had a harp at one point on stage at the last event. I like to think of it as an urban Big Chill...

This time around, the event organiser is asked me to see if any 3D students could come up with any suitable visuals to compliment the music. This could be anything from a simple looping "identity" to more abstract visuals inspired by the music! The work doesn't need to be complec, and would be a great sub-project to try out your Maya or C4D skills. Your work will be projected on a huge 10ft x 10ft screen in front of up to 300 people...

See the associated music post here to hear some music by the artists.(you need to be logged in to view this) The music is also on my iTunes collection (machoo) under the compilation 'Bakedbeats#2", accessible within the school network. I was really impressed by the quality of the music, as I was at the last event.

There is also a photo album containing the postcard art here.
