Yellow Backgrounds

Client: Multinational media training institute
Date: December 2005
Applications: Cinema 4D

I made these quick renders as backgrounds for a leaflet for a multimedia training course, which I can't find now. I thought I'd upload them in case anyone wants to use them; they could make nice desktop backgrounds.

This is a comparison of the original image of a G5 from Apple's website (top) and a render of my 3D model (bottom), which was used in the 'yellow people' campaign.

Keyframing in 3D applications - soft interpolation vs linear
Hi, prompted by a question by Jason, here's a look at what happens and why when you keyframe in Cinema 4D.

Life Drawing Workshops

Life drawing Workshops are available at the Islington Arts Factory. They are run by the Register of Artists' Models (RAM), which should mean good quality models and staff. I'd highly recommend any 3D Animation students to drop in and give this a try. (Wednesday evening class, there should be a Friday morning class running later)

Tim Cameron CG Motorcycle designs

Tim Cameron's found an interesting niche by combining work and pleasure. He designs beautiful conceptual motorcycles. I would not be surprised if one of his designs is picked up on / inspires a real world design soon.

Rendering for widescreen 16:9

Ren asked about whether you can make a 16:9 movie rather than 4:3 for your project. I am fine with this, although it can be a bit fiddly setting it up correctly for a DVD.
There are various standards of widescreen, to aid compatibility with older TV sets.
Letterboxed - actually 4:3 ratio (like 'normal' TV) but [...]
