Treadmill Desks to Save America?
Dr. James Levine has 'invented' a treadmill computer desk. My first thought upon seeing this was how dumb and unusable it looks, but my opinion very quickly reversed.
How much computer activity actually really requires me to be sitting? Who hasn't found that they pace up and down when in a really good phone conversation, helping [...]
Internet Nostalgia #1: Birth of Subdivision and Praystation
I was digging around on the Wayback Machine today, and got all nostalgic looking at old versions of Subdivision, from back when I was a student from 1999-2001, producing similar feelings to poking around in those old boxes of photos under the stairs
2/2/2001: "subdivision was officially launched today, much to the rapture of... well, just [...]

HSA / Bombshelter music video grabs
OK, my point here was...
I saw the Mario video on music TV a couple of times, and was really amazed at the artwork in the background. After quite a bit of mucking about in Google (OK, OK almost an entire Sunday) I found a few interesting things out. (probably half of it wrong, but hey..)

Burnout 5 is being showcased as a PS3 (and XBOX 360) title on the web and seems to be utilising that power in polygon mashups reminiscent of what a model usually looks like when you do something wrong in a 3D [...]
John Maeda - a legendary interaction artist
I've had a love affair with the work of John Maeda for around 7 years. He's a graphic designer, visual artist, and computer scientist at the MIT Media Laboratory. His books are also inspirational and fascinating. Take a look.

Tim Cameron CG Motorcycle designs
Tim Cameron's found an interesting niche by combining work and pleasure. He designs beautiful conceptual motorcycles. I would not be surprised if one of his designs is picked up on / inspires a real world design soon.

Cartoon skeletal systems
These drawings are beautiful.. Michael Paulus has taken famous cartoon characters and theorised how their skeletons might be formed. There's a slight Da-Vinci feel to the style, partly from the writing and paper I think.
